I've been biking to work almost 10 years now. For the first several years I used the Olentangy bike path, but the segment through the OSU area was always a frustration--it was very dangerous, especially near Drake Union where you had to ride on the sidewalk and make 90 degree blind turns, and for years it was very badly maintained.
For most of this summer, the bike path has been closed to bike traffic through OSU. I heard last week the trail would be reopening soon, so this morning I gave it a try and I was stunned!
The bike path has been entirely rerouted along the river to the west of the Drake Union! This is what we've been waiting for forever! Halelujah!!
This is the best thing that's happened to the CBus bikeway system in years! I can't wait to hear from other twowheelers how they like this improvement.
Rode it this morning too. Fantastic, very well done. They took care of a number of issues in that stretch of the path.
